Hello! My name is Lydia Ciranni, and I am thrilled to be part of the Pearls of Nutrition team. I have lived in the Rochester area all my life and, as a food enthusiast, I’m honored to continue serving the community as a Registered Dietitian.
I hold an undergraduate degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in dietetics and Nutrition and a Masters degree in clinical nutrition from the University at Buffalo, where I also completed my dietetic internship. I have experience in providing nutrition care for a variety of clients, including those with mental health, trauma/surgery, and gastrointestinal concerns.
My dietitian journey began when I saw the overwhelming amount of information (and misinformation) all around me about food and nutrition. I decided to become an expert in the field to distinguish fact from fiction in order to help others make informed decisions about their health.
Growing up in a large family that sees food as a love language, I believe that food is as much about culture as it is about sustaining life and our well-being. I am committed to working with others to provide individualized nutrition care and help improve their relationship with food.
In my free time, you can find me either cooking in the kitchen, curled up with a good book, out on an adventure in the great outdoors, or spending time with my family and friends.
