Pearls of Nutrition, PLLC is looking for a new Registered Dietitian to join our team! Patient populations to be covered will be for GI Disorders (SIBO, food allergies, IBS, IBD, etc) and Eating Disorders (AN, BN, BED, ARFID) during initial months of employment. Patient population may be negotiated to include your preference after first 6 months of employment. You will receive training in your role prior to starting patient work and will join our weekly team meetings for ongoing training.The Registered Dietitian in this role will provide outpatient one on one nutrition counseling sessions with individuals and their families.Key Responsibilities:Develop open and non-judgemental relationships with clients- 50%
- Approach clients with a non-judgmental attitude
- Provide reflective listening regularly
- Utilize a motivational interviewing approach with clients
- Respond to client calls and email within 2 business days
Create effective approaches to assist clients in improving health and wellbeing 35%
- Deliver evidence-based nutrition recommendations which improve the health of clients
- Assess and recommend regimens that match individual requirements and limitations
- Regularly re-assess regimes to assure adequacy and appropriateness
- Provide clear and timely communication with the client’s team including: caregivers/parents, physicians, psychiatrists, and therapists
- Monitor and assess nutrition status
Work as a Pearls Of Nutrition team member- 15%
- Effectively communicate plans and rational in client medical record
- Accurately document time spent with client
- Contribute blogs post to pearlsofnutrition.com
- Attend weekly patient rounds meetings as scheduled
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Advanced specialty nutrition knowledge in GI or eating disorder care preferred, willing train interested candidates with little experience
- Communication skills (listening, reflecting, feedback with clients and clarity and speed with other providers and team members)

- Must be CDR accredited Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist OR Nutritionist with active NYS CDN credential
